I just wonder if there are any Swedish archives of that Stock Exchange and if Nils Peter Persson might have
worked there before heading for America? He was my great-great-grandfather, William
Parsons [Nils Peter Persson, 1840, Ystad], Here, he worked in or near the San Francisco
Mining Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange....so maybe he even did some type
of work like that in Sweden.....maybe not.....
Another Swedish researcher found a William Parsons back in Stockholm from America in 1883, but she had no way to tell if it was ours, and we don't know what he was doing there either.......Our WP was living in New York at the time, tho, so maybe Nils Peter Persson went back to do something with the Stockholm Exchange.
To refresh your memory about him, 1858
Age: 18
Residence
Stockholm, Sweden
He moved to Stockholm from Ystad. Address: 8 Ålands gränd. Ålands gränd is nowadays Mäster Samuelsgatan.
We have never been able to find when he came to America, but he was naturalized in 1870 in San Francisco, so we speculate that it was by 1863.
Min väninna i USA undrar kan någon hjälpa henne?
