Help with 1890 Swedish Census for Ersson family in Arbra

I have attached the 1890 Swedish Census for the Hans Ersson family. Four boys are listed, I know two of the boys went to Minnesota, USA that was Hans and Jonas. But how do I find the dependents of the two boys, Erik and Per? Erik stayed in Sweden and Per went to the USA then came back to Sweden. How can I find the dependents who lived in Sweden from this family. Is it best to search parish records for Akre Parish? Any help on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

In Sweden you use Household examinations, birth records and similar records, to trace the ancestors. The "Census" isn't really a census, but a copy sent for statistical purposes. In this cace you find the family in Arbrå (X) AI:22b (1890-1894) Bild 272 / sid 525 (AID: v134355a.b272.s525, NAD: SE/HLA/1010005), which is a digital copy of the page on ArkivDigtal, which is an excellent service but you have to pay a fee to use it. It is also possible to find the material in black and white for free at Riksarkivet (RA). To fond now living relatives you follow the family from one volume to the next, until you find what you look for. This record looks like:

I use Arkiv Digital I have found out some for you. In Arbrå Book A1.22b year 1890-1894 page 525 there you can find Hans Eriksson anfd his wife Kerstin Persdotter they was married in 6 of november 1874 in Arbrå,


The next book is Arbrå A11a;1b 1895-1900 page 581 There is a not of Hans death in 8 og July 1900 in Arbrå. Per left Sweden and went to America on the 9 of February 1903 came back to Sweden 30 of Desember 1905 his brother Hans to Amerika 24 of April 1902 and he proboly staid there.


Next book is Arbrå A11a:3 1906-1910 page 839 I think thatyou can read the names if you have problems ask again.

Thank you! My Great Grandfather is Hans the son who went to the USA in 1902. Did the brother Jonas also go to the USA in 1902 or 1903?

I have been looking for Jonas and I did  find him in Arbrå A11a 4c 1911-1918 p 878 there was Jonas and he was working at a farm and in the housholdsexaminations roll page for nots it said that Jonas was i America but not where. He had a note in a book  1913 where the priest wrote down the name of the pepole who they had no idea of where they where.


I have checked in the records I have from the Mormons but no luck. Hans died on the 24 oj January 1906. Record of death Arbrå F:4 1895-1910 page 101
His wife Kerst died 13 of May 1926 of old age in Arbrå Record of deat Arbrå F:6 1925-1950 page 11.

Thank you again. Yes Jonas went to the USA but I did not know what year. Jonas changed his name to John Erickson Boyer and lived in Minnesota near his brother Hans Erickson. I have all the USA decedents for these two families. Now I am trying to find my Swedish family for Per Ersson and Erik Ersson. It sounds like it is best for me to pay for ArkivDigital. Thanks for all of your help. Did Erik take over the home after his father died in 1900 to help his mother?

Ulla didn't got everything right. In AII:1b it is the son Erik who died 1900-07-08. Next they are found in Arbrå (X) AIIa:2b (1901-1905) Bild 3120 / sid 646 (AID: v225449.b3120.s646, NAD: SE/HLA/1010005) and there Hans Ersson died 1906-01-24, Per and Hans moved to Amerika and Per returned. Next they are found in Arbrå (X) AIIa:3c (1906-1910) Bild 2190 / sid 893 (AID: v225466.b2190.s893, NAD: SE/HLA/1010005) where Peer is married in 1907, starts a family and became the owner of the farm Åkre no 2. Next they are found in Arbrå (X) AIIa:4c (1911-1918) Bild 2020 / sid 878 (AID: v225469.b2020.s878, NAD: SE/HLA/1010005) where Per has 6 children. Jonas is noted as being in Amerika but he has not told the priest when he moved, thus he is transfered to Obefintlighetsboken, where people that they don't know where the live are noted. Kerstin Persdotter still lived 1918 when they all moved to N. B. = Nya Boken = Next volume, which is how you find them in next volume at that time. For older times you usually have to find them at the same place using an index of places often found in the beginning of the volume (or sometimes at the end).

This page is from Arbrå Parish, but that is probably not the answer you want? If it is the birth parish, for whom do you want it? The first one is born in Fryksände, but that is in Värmlands County.
