I am trying to verify that this death record is for Johan Johansson, born 20 Mar 1852 in Hova: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/00007027_00070
I found a census record that shows a Johan living in Stockholm in 1880 and one in 1890.  As it shows his birth parish as Hova, I believe that it is him.  However, when I look for the household records for Katarina for 1880, I don’t see any.  I found a death record in ancestry which led me to the Katarina death records.  The age would be exact - 41 years, 6 months, and 8 days; so I believe that it is the correct Johan.  As I can’t find any household records to verify that this one was born in Hova, I’m not 100% certain.  Are there no household records for Katarina for 1880?  Thanks, Carol

Between 1878 and 1926, household records in Stockholm are found in the "Roteman" archives, not in the parish records:
https://sok.stadsarkivet.stockholm.se/Rotemannen2012/Search.aspx

Here one can find only one Johan Johansson born on March 20th 1852.
He lives at 16, Katarina Östra Qvarngränd 1881-91, then at 5-7 Stora Fiskaregränd with the note "Released from Långholmen prison" October 1892.

The name of the block (property name) in the 1890 census, Sandbacken mindre No. 1, tallies with his address in the Roteman archive 1881-91.

Noted as deceased 1893-09-28.

No information about his birthplace, though. But most likely it's the Johan you're after.

The same parents and birth date in the records from Hova and from Långholmen prison, so definitely the same person. I would say that you can now be 100 % certain that Johan Johansson was born in Hova March 20th 1852 and died in Katarina parish, Stockholm, Sept. 28th 1893.
