The books for Västerås
Lasarett (hospital) are available @ AD, also: Centrallasarettet i Västerås: Folkbokföring (U) C:4 (1937-1940) Bild 3830 / Sida 375 (AID:
v427419a.b3830.s375, NAD:
SE/ULA/12377). If you don't find a birth (or death) in the 20th century in the regular church books, check if there is a hospital where it can have happened.
The baptism in Svedvi is not available @ AD -- when a book has been used later than the current 70-year integrity limit, it can't be scanned -- and
after that limit has passed, it may take some while for Riksarkivet and/or ArkivDigital to get time to do the actual scanning, and get them into the database. In this case Riksarkivet was faster -- the book with the baptism records for Rigmor Elisabet was released only in 2017 (it has notes until september 1947) and apparently AD has not got round to scanning it yet. (I know AD has held up their scanning during the pandemic, so they'll have a backlog.)
It's a good idea, when you are working in the middle 20th century, to check the archive register. AD has links to the right archive in the "
Archive info" section. Svedvi birth/baptisms are
here. Note it lists all the books up until the tax authorities took over in 1991 -- if you need something from a book that is currently not in the database of pictures, you can ask for it, and the archive will check if it is sensitive or not. If it's not, they can give you a copy (it'll cost some for the copying, not much ...)
