Needing translation help and information on 'icke ledig'

After my ancestor Katarina Kristina Pousard left Hassela parish and her family, moving to Torp parish, Västernorrland, she was noted in the household records as icke ledig, which if I translated it correctly, means 'not free'. What exactly does this mean? Was she an indentured servant? Slave?

Also, I can't make out most of what was written on her death record and would appreciate help there.

Not free to marrige due to moving records from Torp.



I have followed her back to Torp AI:11B (1846-1854) page 327 were it says free and in next book not free, AI:12b page 356, but I cant fined any marriage.




And due to Swedish Death book she is not married.

She died of Lepra.

I've gone through the marriage records in Hassela and not found anything there either. What other reasons would a young woman of that time be deemed unmarriageable?

Leprosy? Wow. That's quite horrible and unexpected. I'm surprised she wasn't sent off to a colony. Poor woman.

If she had been married she would be named "hustru". "Icke ledig" was probably because she had given someone a promise to marry, mostly found for men,

Could it be an arranged marriage situation, where her parents set something up, she refused then fled the parish?

Leprosy was an impediment to marriage! So she was not allowed to marry. And she died in Järvsö where there was a leprosy hospital.
