Need help with name on birth record

Can anyone tell me the circled name is on the attached birth record?  It looks like it might be "Plate."

She is called Mademoiselle Sara ?  - is Mademoiselle used as a designation for an older married/unmarried woman?  She appears on a later household record as living with the family so I'm trying to understand what relationship she might have with them, if any.

It is most likely Plate. In the past it was common for a Priest to call women from the higher classes for Madame, Mademoiselle or sometime jungfru (virgin). I googled the name and found someone who claimed a Sara Plate was the wife of a Priest. Perhaps that is her? However sometimes the upper class found pleasure in visiting a baptism for common people but if you have found her in a later husförhör she was perhaps not a wife of a Priest. It would be good if you could give us a link to that page.

I just found that the (head) Priest/ Kyrkoherde in Annerstad was called Johan Plate and that his assistant was the Priest Johan Wising, who were married to Sara Plate (most likely Johan Plates daughter). Annerstad (G) AI:2 (1750-1772) Bild: 202 Sida: 387

Also I found a Sara born 1704 at Annerstad (G) AI:2 (1750-1772) Bild: 214 Sida: 411 at the same page as a Nils Nilsson but that Sara is most certain not Sara Plate because she was supposed to be born later.

There is also a Sara (no patronymic name) listed on the 1766 tax record at Annerstad Byagård in which it is my understanding that she is an older, probably unmarried woman, who was very poor.  When I saw Sara Plate listed among the sponsors at the baptism of one of Nils' children, I wondered if there was a connection.

So, I think your theory that "sometimes the upper class found pleasure in visiting a baptism for common people" is the most likely one as they were "common people."
