Ladufoade/Ladufogden & Inspektor

I've followed my husband's ancestor from his birth in Sweden until he emigrated to America, and several times he is listed as a "Ladufoade" or a "Ladufogde(n)".  What does this word mean?  Was it a special job? Did it require any training?

Also, later it lists him as an "Inspektor". I'm assuming that means he was an inspector, but of what?  Is it at all related to him being a "Ladufoade"?

It is a trustee/supervisor/foreman running the day to day business on the farm on behalf of the owner. The father of a friend of mine was 'inspektor'. He was the foreman of the blacksmith and the farm hands and he planned the (and participated) work in both short and long term.

I guess that a sharp mind and experience could be useful to get to the position.

I hope you get an idea of what kind of job it was.
