Help with estate inventory

(1/2) > >>

Victoria Cihla:
I found an estate inventory that I need some help with.  Specifically, on page 272, I'm trying to figure out the headings for a list of names in two places on page 272 (see attached).  What are these lists of names?   Also, on the bottom of the last page, there is a note, not sure if it is related to this inventory or not.  Any help would be appreciated with these 2 things.

So far, from the first page of the inventory, I know that the inventory was taken on June 26, 1772 after the death of Lars Pehrsson.  He left a widow Elin Andersdotter and 2 young daughters (Bengta, age 3 1/2 years and Kierstin, age 1 year).  From this I learned two of his brothers, Nils Pehrsson from ?, and Anders Pehrsson from Torpa, assisted with the inventory.

Maybe the people listed will help determine more of the family relationships, but I'm not sure what these lists represent.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks so much,

You have the part with the header "husets fordringar", that is a list of all the people owing money to the family. And the other part "sterbhusets skulder", is the oppsite, that is people the family owed money to. I don't know how they kept track of all the little loans they had back then, but it is normal with a lot of it.

On the bottom of the last page is a note telling that the "tax" going to the poor is payed. In every one of the inventorys, this tax had to be payed.

Victoria Cihla:
Thanks for this information!  It is really helpful as I've seen similar things on other estate inventories but didn't really understand whether this was money owed or due as I have been mainly focused on learning the family relationships, names and places. It has been veru interesting learning to use these estate inventories to expand on family relationships and confirm others.  I hope to find more.

Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!  I never thought I be able to utilize these records.

Can anyone tell me if the village name is either Nås or Rås?  Here are 2 different examples:

Thank you for your help with this!

To me it looks like it is only the name of the parishes, no villages. I read
...present were their father=brothers (uncles) the inn keeper Nils Pehrsson in Wrå and Anders Pehrsson in Torpa...
