Translation of a marriage certificate
Pam Numan:
Hi I would like to know what the other words are that are on this record please.
It is the bottom record of the marriage on the 21 October 1944 between Willem Numan (my husbands grandfather's second marriage) and Anny Maria Svardman.
On another record that I found it indicated her first name was Gully, so I am confused.
Thank you hoping someone will help me.
KG Hammarlund:
I couldn't make out every word, but:
First image: Numan, Willem, bakery worker, Dutch subject [...}
[f.g. might mean "first time", maybe first reading of banns]] with fruit seller
Svärdman, Anny Maria, born Karlsson, Vikingagatan 7 divorced
Second image: Notification to Statistiska Centralbyrån according to file registration.
Pam Numan:
Thank you it is starting to make some sense now. Much appreciate your help
Regards
Pam
KG Hammarlund:
Here's the records of their banns arrangement:
https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/00051096_00112
(Matteus kyrkoarkiv, Lysningsböcker, SE/SSA/6024/E I a/43 (1944), bildid: 00051096_00112, sida 617)
And here I could see what I couldn't decode earlier: Willem was of Roman Catholic faith.
The bride's full name is given as Gully Anny Maria.
You also get their birth dates: Willem in Velsen, the Netherlands, 1902-05-23 and Gully Anny Maria in Maria Magdalena parish, Stockholm, 1902-07-20
Pam Numan:
So her name is Gully. Is this a normal christian name? Thank you so much for your help it has cleared up the other record I found for her listing her birth. Unfortunately no parents were listed on this.
Havent been able to find any record of their deaths. Willem Numan definitely died in Sweden 2000+. Living to a very good age. Apart from purchasing the death database listed on this website do you know of any other free site?
Thank you so much for translation
Pam
