Does anyone know anything about the life of Samuel Hansson prior to 1777? Where was he born???
The earliest record I have for him is his marriage to Brita Ericksdtr in 1777 in Annerstad. Brita was from Hallarp (in Annerstad) and I am trying to discover where Samuel Hansson was from/born. His birth would be sometime between 1743 – 1750 most likely.
The earliest record I found for him was his 1777 marriage to Brita Ericksdtr that I obtained from the 2002 KGF database as follows (I have since found the digital copy also):

This is what I know about Samuel Hansson:
All of Samuel Hansson’s 9 children (that I aware of) were born in Torpa. Five were born at Häggeshult Södergård, two were born at Stackarp and two at Forssa.
The household exam records follow the family throughout the years as follows:
• 1784-1788 Häggeshult Södergård, Torpa
• 1796-1800 Forssa, Torpa
• 1801-1805 Forssa, Torpa but moved to Rånte in 1803 (This was noted on this household exam record and explains why Samuel is listed on two different household records for the years 1801-1805 – this explanation thanks to a generous member of the forum!)
• 1801-1805 Rånte, Torpa
• 1806-1809 Forssa, Torpa (notes that he was poor (translated by member of forum!)
• 1810-1814 Rånte, Torpa (notes that Samuel Hansson is poor and living in Måsseboda (again, translated by member of forum!)
• 1815-1821 Rya Backstugen, Torpa (notes indicate he is poor, his wife Brita died in 1818)
• 1822-1826 Rya Backstugen, Torpa (this household exam record lists birthplace (it looked like either Bolmsö or Unnaryd (Södra or Norra) – but I could not find a birth record for Samuel Hansson at any of those places in that estimated timeframe of his birth.)
• 1827-1832 household records show that the widower Samuel Hansson died in 1830. His birthplace is listed as Skatelöf on this record! But, again, I found no record of his birth there either.
His death records show he died poor on Christmas Day in 1830.
I’ve checked (and rechecked) the Torpa and Annerstad birth records but could not find him there either.
I truly appreciate the help I have received thus far, and if anyone has any information on the life of this Samuel Hansson prior to 1777 or who has any other suggestions as to where I could look to discover his place of birth, I would really like to hear from you.
Thanks for your help!
