I am looking for any information about Gustaf Alfred Svensson:

He is the owner/operator of an Inn in Ragunda. His parents and siblings are from Traryd, Kronoberg. I believe he operated the Inn from 1898-1903. He had three employee from Ragunda (see below). It looks like he employed two maids and a saddler:

Thank-you. I found their parents but that is as far as I could get:

I know it is a long shot, but I am thinking that the parents may have had family connections to the Ragunda area. I am just trying to confirm. I did search for all the "Magnus" and "Jons" from the Traryd, Kronoberg area for potential parents of either Sven or Anna. I found a "Sven Johan Magnusson" from the right area (Hamneda, Kronoberg) but he was born in 1840 and died in 1840.

An ancester of my grandmother's sister was an innkeeper in Tra(he)ryd 1880-1890 (when he died). He was born in Stockholm, but were an innkeeper on some other places in Sweden as well.

So I presume that innkeepers could take over as inkeeper on diffrent places?

So I don't think Sven Johan Gustavsson, or his wife, had any connection with Ragunda?

Gustaf Alfred was born in Tra(he)ryd, with parents Sven Johan Gustavsson born in Hamneda and Anna Kristina Jonsdotter born in Tra(he)ryd (and Beterås).

Gustaf Alfred moved to Ragunda in 1888, followed by his brother Axel Frithjof in 1890.

Thank-you. However, the two brothers, Gustaf and Axel, moved from Traryd to Ragunda (about 600 miles) approximately ten years before owning/operating the Inn in Ragunda. Why Ragunda, in the middle of nowhere...unless they had family in the area and then later the Inn became viable. As I said earlier, the Inn was operated by Gustaf (no evidence that his brother was ever associated with it) from 1898-1903. Their sister Julia Charlotta lived in Ragunda also and I find no evidence that she was involved in the Inn enterprise. She first lived in Sundsvall and then later in Ragunda.

OK.

I can see that he was called "travelling salesman" when he came to Ragunda. Later "merchandiser".

Then i will guess that it was the railway constructing through Ragunda and towards Sollefteå,
that was "appealing" ?

The railway station in Ragunda opened the 1 of december 1884. And the railway to Sollefteå was ready the 1 of october 1886.

I know of a man born 1851 in another parish in Kronoberg, that "followed the railway" to Bräcke (about 60 km from Ragunda), and later moved to the parish of Borgsjö (more southeast from Bräcke - about 70 km from Ragunda).

Julia Charlotta came to Ragunda from Tra(he)ryd at nov 6 1895, but moved to Sundsvall at nov 17 1900.
I can see that she married 1903 with a "railway station man" born in Ragunda, and they moved around in the north of Sweden.

So I still don't think he had to have any relatives in Ragunda?
