I am in need of help reading the notes on Skredviks AI 5 page 36 (see below). I cannot read the notes for Christin Jacobsdotter 10/10 1804 (where does she move to?). Another individual has this person as the same Kerstin Jakobsdotter who is the mother of Oleana Eliasdotter born 21 Mar 1830 at Äsen under Berg under Skaftö, Morlanda (Morlanda C:4 bild 158 sida 292). No citations are given so I am trying to verify if this is true or not. I have traced this Kerstin from her birth record (Käringön C1 bild 28) to where she moves to Skredviks on 10 Nov 1817 (see Käringön AI 1 bild 162 sida 3 below). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure which remark belong to which person, but this probably apply to Christin: flyttad till Bokenäs med godt bevis af d. 16 oct 1821. Thus she move to the "right" parish and she should be found in the records for 1819-1821 starting at Bokenäs (O) AI:8 (1812-1836) Bild 97 (AID: v1338.b97, NAD: SE/GLA/13041). Have you already searched for her there? She should have arrived just before the the records for 1821 was concluded and she might have been recorded there first time in the 1822-24 records and those are missing. However the name is the same, just spelled different, and the date might have been mistaken for 10/4 instead of 10/10, and in next record in Bokenäs (O) AI:8 (1812-1836) Bild 162 / sid 309 (AID: v1338.b162.s309, NAD: SE/GLA/13041) she might have been there from 1825 or arrived later. It is quite possible that it is the right Kerstin, but is it possible to find the final proof?

Thanks Leif,

I've been unable to locate a Kerstin/Kirstin/Chirstin 10/? 1804 in Bokenäs before AI:8 page 308 covering the years 1825-1831. I do suspect that this might be the correct Kerstin for two additional reasons. First, this Kerstin has ties to Skredviks having previously lived there, and the Kerstin I am looking for had her second child (Johanna born 1833) with a Herman Hansson (?) from Bön, Skredviks. Second, when the Kerstin I am looking for had her first child with Elias Olsson in 1830 before they were married (married in 1836) the child was born at Åsen under Berg under Skaftö, Morlanda where the sister of Elias lived with her family. One would think that a woman would want to deliver her child with family. This Christin/Kerstin's father passed away in 1813 and her mother in 1829. She would have had no family to turn to (only other family was a younger sister).

I may never have definitive proof, only proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Thoughts??

I agree with all of that, including the last sentence.
