Births 1836-1854 Österlövsta, Bild 165 at top of page.
I see that she was born out of wedlock  but I also see name Anders Hellström on the record.
As a wife and mother in Hf I found her name to be Hellström.
I am sure hoping that someone can find her as a child in household records.
Sure appreciate help as this is an area in Swed that I am not familiar with.

I'm not sure about what you want, but the first record of them in Household Examinations is Österlövsta AI:13a (1851-1855) Bild 75 / sid 68 (AID: v127566.b75.s68, NAD: SE/ULA/11818). Both Catharina Hållinder born 1816-12-26 and Maria Catharina are there. The place is "Fattigstugan", a house the parish had for the very poor people that could not support themselves. Maybe Fattigstugan was located to Försäter as it is listed just after Försäter. It looks like Maria Catharina had two siblings born 1849 and 1855.


Anders Hällström is in Österlövsta AI:13a (1851-1855) Bild 82 / sid 75 (AID: v127566.b82.s75, NAD: SE/ULA/11818). He has four children with his (late) wife that died in 1848. It is quite possible that Catharina was his housekeeper and actually lived with him as the birth record say, but for some reason she is not registered with him.

Thanks for household information. There was lots of writing I did not understand and now I cannot find the birth record again. But I thought that Anders Hällström admitted to being the father.

Anders and Catharina did get married! I use Svar, I think you use ArchivDigital but page number should be the same.

Catharina is born in Hållnäs C:3 (1752-1835) Bild 170 / sid 330 (AID: v124914.b170.s330, NAD: SE/ULA/10425). Her mother Cajsa Hållinder is said to be living in Griggebo but I do not find her there, but it also say she is from Kjerfven = Kärven and Catharina is actually noted there, Hållnäs AI:5 (1803-1816) Bild 303 / sid 297 (AID: v124889.b303.s297, NAD: SE/ULA/10425). Her mother is probably the Cajsa born 1787 three rows up, and Cajsa's father is Jan Hollinder born 1746, top of page. I hava not followed Cajsa more than that. The volume 1817-1824 is missing, nonexisting, and I have not found them when next volume start in 1825, but I have not searched very much.


On page 74 the remark about the two children Maria Catharina and Augusta say "the husbands children, fathered before the marriage" = makens barn, aflade före äktenskapet. If you want more translations you have to tell what.

Now I have had time to search for Maria Catharina in info you sent me. When I search in Hållnäs 1803-1816 the highest number is 259. You have 297 so I am confused.
