Could one of you awesome people help me get more information on a Nils August Lundquist? I have him at Döderhult - Enghorvan (?sp - I can't make it out) he was born 24-5-1849 May 24, 1849). I am really trying to figure out when he left Sweden and where (if it says) he was headed to (going). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Ken Johnson

I find him in Döderhult AI:13 and AI:14 (1861-1872) page 452 (in Enghorfva with his parents), page 373 (Källehorfva), page 506 (Rotvik) and page 507 (Berga under Rotvik). There is a note "living in Amerika" and it also says he moves out 1870 to something i can't interpret and the Attest number (37) given there is not his in Döderhult BI:3 (1861-1887) Bild 133 (AID: v37963.b133, NAD: SE/VALA/00065). It might be that he returned in 1870 and still where there 1871, but if so he is not there in next volume, Döderhult AI:17 (1873-1882) Bild 21 / sid 549 (AID: v21910.b21.s549, NAD: SE/VALA/00065).

Anyone else have an answer?

Leif Lundkvist - Thank you, I wish the other stuff you mention made sense I looked at it and I certainly can't make it out.Wish we could find more details about him...We (myself and other family members doing research) can't figure out where he ended up over here in the States I am from one of his brothers line's. My GGGrand Father - Carl Johan, Nils August and another brother came over to America and we are trying to find out where this particular brother ended up and are trying to find his line over here. In Döderhult AI:14 page 507 it says that he is 1870 moved to S(ärskild) förte(kning), which means Special register for people with unknown address. He is noted there under 1870 whith the number 37.

Thanks also to Kristina for translation and additional information, it looks like he most likely left in 1870. Vänliga hälsningar

There is another note about him on page 507 which I read as: Approberad, men ej vapenövad, approved, but has not exercised (with weapons).
