I am searching for the origins of a Swedish woman married to Pierre BOVET (f. 1790 Switzerland) and emigrated (from France?) to the USA in 1842.

I do not understand the possible connection, unless her family is military or commercial.  I do not understand how a Swedish woman connects with a Swiss man in this time period.  My initial reading considered her origin as an error, however, further references have confirmed that she was Swedish and spoke Swedish.

Family listing

Pierre A. Bovet   f. 1790  Switzerland
Mary C. Bovet    f. 1794  Sweden
Emilie Bovet       f. 1831  Switzerland
Augusta Bovet   f. 1835  Switzerland

Any ideas about tracking Swedes outside of Sweden during 1800-1840?

Regards (and sorry that this is in English)

An update:  Maria C. Bovet, född Margaretha Catharina Wendbom 1 May 1794 in Ulriksdal, Solna parish, Stockholm, daughter of Eric Wendbom (1768-1828) and Anna Catharina Pihlgren (1766- ).

Bouppteckning of her father indicates that she left Sweden in 1813.

She married Pierre Abraham Bovet in Fribourg, Switzerland in 1824 when she was listed as living in Neuchâtel.

I am now trying to locate records for emigration in 1813.  I understand that special permission would have been required for her exit.  My current theory is that she left Sweden as a servant to the household of a diplomat or Swedish businessman in France who then had to move to Neuchatel with the war....
Any suggestions for source of these records?

Hi John,
I tried to follow your Marguaretha Catharine Wendbom from birth. I can find her in Ulriksdal between birth to 1812
Husförhörslängd 1790-1798: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0048762_00037
Husförhörslängd 1799-1805:https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0048763_00035
Husförhörslängd 1805-1811:https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0048764_00036
Husförhörslängd 1811-1823:https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0048765_00046 --> there it says that she moved to Stockholm 1812
Utflytningslängd 1808-1833: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0065000_00088 --> you can see that she left Ulriksdak on December 19th, 1812. She is nr. 128. She is refered to as "flickan" (=girl) and not as "piga" (=servant); So I believe she did not go to Stockholm to work.
Then it is really difficult to know where she went as it only says "Stockholm". No specific area is mentionned unfortunately.

Wouldn't it be possible that she meet Pierre Bovet in Stockholm sometimes between December 19, 1812 and 1813 and followed him. Do you know when wnd where they got married? She was 18 years old. He was 22 !?!?
