I am hoping someone can find death of Kersti Pehrsdotter. She was born 13 January 1820, probably in Hästhagen, Fränninga, Malmöhus. Father Pehr Pehrsson, mother Elna Olsdotter. I'm thinking that she may have died at a young age because a sister born little over 2 years later was given name Kerstin. Now I wonder if Kersti is short for Kerstin.

Johan Carlsson born 30 June 1867. Son of Carl Månsson and Anna Lassesdotter.
I had a 10 day subscription to Genline but it is not easy for me to read some words. GID 1635.41.5400 Looks like Johan was given a new Military name. Can someone read it? GID 1635.41.4300 in the home of his parents. I am hoping that somone knows how to follow him forward from then. Did he marry and have children? If any living descendants can be found please email me directly, keeping with the rule that no names of living people are to be posted on this website.

Need more info for my family tree. Jöns Persson Möller born 20 Oct 1756, died 20 May 1816. His first wife died in Jan 1798 (I have complete information for their children)and he married again to Marna Andersdotter on 29 July 1798. Did they have any children? Also, I would like the birth information for Marna.

I am hoping that some info can be found even though this person
was born after 1900. I am looking for the parents and siblings
of Olov Elis Algot Ericsson born 23/11/ 1911 in Brunflo.
He died in 1995 in Nora kn (Örebro län, Västmanland) in 1995.
I'm just wondering if any of his siblings (if he had any) families
may still be in the area. But I know the rule about no living people
on this website. Maybe I could get a direct email. Or if a sibling
died there I could write to Archives for Estate Inventory to know
names of children.

I am looking for information on Algot Ericsson who
died sometime ago. I have been told that he lived in Gränna.
Can someone please look on Death CD?
But then I need to know if there is an Archives office in the
area where I can get an Estate Inventory. In more southern Sweden
I have corresponded with one that has been most helpful. I only
ask for first page where children are named.
It is descendants I am looking for but know that living people
cannot be named on this website.

So, 1900 he was on his own and worked as a farmhand for someone.
I think you probably looked at the last household records.
I do not know death date or if he married. It is so kind of you
to offer to look up more but I think perhaps there is not much
in Genline after 1900. Am I correct? If you find there is, and
you have time I would be very glad for more information. Maybe
he emigrated to America as some of my other relative did, but I
do not have any information of him being in America.

Answer for son of Hanna Persdotter and Ola Jönsson
from Baskemölla:
Martin Olsson, born 23 October 1879. He became a widower 16 April 1960 and died 27 January 1966. His address was Baskemölla 5:23 at the time of his death. Martin got married 7 November 1903 to Johanna, maiden name Jönsson, born 4 March 1874 in Rörum, Kristianstads County, Skåne.
I have a little concern about this because I have his birth date as
15 Nov 1879 in my family tree. So which one is correct?

I solved it myself! I am so glad that I now know
all those GID we all looked at are for the correct
man! Following is how I finally did it.
I decided to check moving out from Fränninge. Found
Carl Fredrik Mansson born 13 Jun 1839 Starrup.
GID 1220.18.39900 Line 102. He is a soldier. He was
born out of wedlock. So perhaps he chose the name
Månsson or he was given it as a military name.

when I tried to get on this morning. 08.20 in Canada.
I shall ask for your oppinion because I think I have
followed the correct person. Do you think the Carl Fredrik
in GID 1432.26.77700 is the same as the one in GID 1304.5.66600
and further on where his last name is Månsson? In the first
GID I give it looked like Korsman to me, which is the one I
search for.
I know there were name changes because of military.
Sorry to ask so much, just want to be sure.
I have asked so much and am very grateful for all your
help. Now I cannot look at GID. Do I dare to ask for a
little more? Birth info for Anna (just from GID 1432.3.66400)
Also birth info for Johan in GID 1635.35.45700.

Ingvar your instructions have helped a lot to follow
Carl Fredrik from page 276, then to page 370 (GID 1304.5.66600)
Here is last name clearly is Månsson, birth date the same,
birth place Frenninge (parish that village of Starrup is in)
Then on page 374 (GID 1304.5.66900)and there he moved in 1867
to ? Brosärp ? In the above GID there is a lot of writing to
the far right of his name. If you have time, and you can read
the small writing,will you please translate it to English. I
know this is asking a lot so if you can't I will understand.

Little more help Please! I cannot afford more Genline
after my 10 day expires. As I look at the GID numbers
again I am more sure it is right person, even though
the writing is difficult for me to read. I guess the
name of the place in GID 1432.26.8000 is a village in
the parish. What is the name? Here Carl Fredrik came
from page 242 and did not go anywhere. I am looking
through many pages of HFL but not finding him again.
Beginning to wonder if I am wasting my time on this
search or am I just not doing it right.

The family was found in this parish in 1890 Census but Maria was not there.

In 1900 Census with Per and new wife there were no children. So I wonder where

Yes, this is the man I am referring to but I am not sure his decendants went to Sweden. Although I know other relatives who went from one country to another. I also noticed him on familysearch and also people with name of Tevik in Linköping on eniro.se. Since there is a Temple of the church not too far from Linköping I was hoping that if they were related and saw my posting, I would hear from them.

I would like to know the exact death date and place of Johan Korsman if at all possible.
He lived for many years at 30 Vollsjö. I think I have most info I need for his wife and children.
Someone sent me 1900 Census info that says he was living as a widower at 6 Vollsjö.
Another person said that he was probably at Teckomatorp after that and died there in 1907.
If it is possible for someone to follow him forward and get more exact info I will be very grateful.

He was in this parish, Katarina, in 1855. I hope someone can find him in HFL so I know who he was residing with.
He was in Maria södra in 1856. I do not see that parish on the list. Then in 1857 he is not there.

Andreas Carlsson born 1822 Residence Elfsborg in 1890.
I do not even know if Värmland is the right county for Elfsborg.

They lived in Fränninge parish from at least 1819. I am so sad that the HFL are missing for the years 1819-1836.
I have death date and place for Catharina: 23 Jan 1833 in Starrarp. I hope that someone can find the death image and if there is much written in Swedish please translate to English what it says.

I have also attached the household exam record from Löberöd, Hammarlunda. GID number above is the image.
Sackelin is said to be born 1 May 1781 in, if I'm not mistaken, Ikalis. This
is a place in Finland. Catharina Sophia is born the same date and also in
Ikalis but in 1788. The family moves to Ahlestad in 1817.
It sure would be good to find this family in HFL where ever they lived before moving to this parish. Thanks! Georgina

Johanna born 1873, daughter of Per Korsman and Ingar Svensdotter. The family is found in Högseröd in 1890 Census. There is also another daughter Sofia.
I will be very happy if marriage info can be found for Johanna and maybe her sister also.

Another good volunteer found something very interesting in the household of Johan. Carl Fredrick Korsman born 1816 (place of birth difficult to read), he actually sent me the image. Perhaps a brother of Johan? Someday I will know for sure!

It is Anders Vilhelm and Sven Axel that I would like to know where they went. Maybe to Finland. I may never know more about them.
Baby Carl Fredrik is the son of Catharina born 1811 in above image who is believed to be a daughter of Carl Fredrik born 1772.

Carl Korsman was a soldier so perhaps Berggren was someone he knew in the military.

I have been told from a reliable source that My third great grandfather Carl Fredrik Korsman came to this parish in 1846. He was born in 1772 so in 1846 he would be age 74. I cannot imagine a man that age going to a new parish where he had no relatives. I hope someone can find which household he was in between 1846 and 1850 02/7 when he died.

I have now done a little more research in USA Census.
August was born in June 1859 according to 1900 USA census.
There were many by the name of August Johnson in the area where he lived.
Now I am wondering if there were more than just two in Småland - maybe in Jönköping County.

You say there is no Perstorp near Järnskog. But there are 10 in Värmland. Will you please send me the names of the parishes where you found a Perstorp?
Then I will try little by little to find his birth parish and somehow figure out if he is the one who married and lived in Järskog.
It could very well be that Petter was not born in Järnskog. Perhaps he lived there after he was married.

This is more information I have: on familysearch there is a Petter Andersson born 4 Mar 1732, Pehrstorp, , Varmland, Sweden. Then other info: Petter Andersson born 1732 with wife Ingeborg and sons Anders and Olof were found in (I think houshold examination records) Vadjungsed, Järnskog. I am trying to find if the Petter born in Pehrstorp in the same as one in Vadjungsed.

Karl was born 1908-02-20 and died 1982-05-23.
He married Rut Ingeborg (my distant relative)in 1930.
If he died in Helsingborg perhaps some of children were born there and hopefully still live there.

Eric was born 26 May 1786 in offerdal. His parents were Olof Larsson and Cherstin Larsdotter.
I do not know if he remained in Offerdal. Also another possiblity is that he was a soldier and had a different last name as most soldiers did.

Why was she in Perstorp? Was her mother there? Maybe her mother died there?
It is interesting that Perstorp is close to the village of Stockholm where we think Catharina, mother of Anna was born.

I am hoping to find the parents of Anders!
I had been given the information that he was born in Wermland. A nice volunteer sent me a couple of genline images of him and his wife and children but there is no birth place listed. His birth year is definetly recorded as 1748 in the images.
And I have found out that Wermland is now Värmland. Anders married a lady from Oppland, Norway and they raised their children in Alsen parish in Jämtland.
Two of their children were named Petter and Ingabor. I am trying my best to find information on my own but I really need some help.
I did find on familysearch.org Father: Petter Christophersson; Mother: Ingebar Andersdotter; Son: Anders Christening 15 Apr 1748 in Nyed, Värmland. I wonder if this could be my Anders.
Is there someway to check if this Anders moved to Jämtland?

I have not yet been able to trace Sven Axel from Fränninge (the parish of his birth) to where ever he may have gone. I also to not know whether he continued to use the name Korsman or maybe Carlsson or even some other name as some people in Sweden used to do. His exact birth date is 1826-4-10.
A good volunteer gave me the information that Carl Fredrick Korsman (father of Sven Axel) went to Björka parish in 1846 and died there in 1850.
It seems to me that maybe Carl went to that Björka parish because some of his family was there.
I will be so happy if someone can find more information for me as to who else of Carl's family may have been in the parish where he died.
He also had a son Anders Vilhelm born 1822 in Fränninge that I have not yet found where he went.

His wife Anna Svensdotter died in Mar 1865 in Gladsax.
She was born 1826-6-9 in Gladsax.
All the Children were born in Gladsax.
Some of the children were still very young in 1865 when their mother died.

In Kall parish church books Agnes moved to Umeå in november 1916. She was born in 1898. I do have all detail of her parents and siblings. I have not been given information of her moving back to Jämtland.
But her last name at death was Bengtsson. She was a widow in 1955 but no name for a husband is found.
Is there any way to find out if she was married in Umeå?

Her parents were August and Emma Hedin. They were married in Oct 1905. I believe we have found her brother Erik Alvar Hedin who was born 17 Mar 1909.

But their is a mystery in the family of Anna.
A long time ago {not on this website}I had been given the information that Johan Korsman born 1819 {my great great grandfather} was a son of Carl Korsman and Catharina Sofia Carlsdotter.
Johan was born in the same place you found Anna born with mother Catharina Korsman (but it would not be the same mother as Johan because her age was 41 in 1853 so she would be born in 1812}
I do not have a dotter Catharina for the Parents Carl and Catharina - but maybe?
I will keep looking to solve this mystery.

Sofia was born 22 October 1884 in Gladsax. Her parents were Gertrude Pehrsdotter and Lars Persson. She died 7 March 1957 in Gladsax.
She married Anders Martinsson 20 December 1907.
Anders was born 12 September 1882. He died 4 June 1953.
I am very thankful to the kind lady who sent this to me. Gertrude Pehrsdotter was a sister to my great grandmother.

Her parents were Pehr Andersson and Anna Svensdotter.
Did Kersti marry and have children?

She was a younger sister to my great grandmother.
It sure would be nice to find some of her living descendants.

I am very happy because I have been helped by so many kind people in Sweden as I work on my family tree.
Hans Dahlin married Ulla who was a daughter of Carl Julius Anderson. She is on the list of his children as Ulla Dahlin at the time of his death April 1986 in Malmo. Ulla would be about age 74 at this time and she is a second cousin to my mother.
I am so anxious to get in touch with some of her children or grandchildren who would speak English. It is so exciting for me to find cousins in Sweden. Hopefully someone will email me directly.
Ulla's grandparents were Anders Larsson and Elna Johansdotter Korsman. They raised their children in Vollsjo, Horby and Hogesrod.
I am from Canada and my keyboard will not type some of the Swedish letters as they should be.

Maj-Britt was the daughter of Carl Julius Andersson. At the time of her father's death in 1986 her last name was Jonasson which I presume was the married name and she was living in Malmo.
She and my mother would be second cousins. How I hope to find her and her family.

Carl was the son of Carl Julius Andersson and he was living in Malmo in 1986 when his father died.
That is all I know about Carl Erik Andersson.
I am hoping someone will be able to find more information about him.
I would like to know children and grandchildren because they would be my cousins. My mother would be a first cousin to Carl Erik.
My great grandparents emigrated to America.

Olof was born 20 Dec 1865 in Offerdal Parish. His parents were Nils Ljung and Sigrid Pettersdotter. I have been given the following information. In 1882 his name was listed as Olof Nilsson Ljung-Hallstrom. In 1884 he was in Alsen Parish.
In 1935 he was in Alberta Canada.
How I hope someone can give me his Emigration Information!

I am searching for descenants of Carl Julius Andersson who died in Malmo June 1986.
His children who were residing in Malmo at that time were: Carl Erik Andersson, Borje Segerbjer and Maj-Britt Jonasson.
I sure would like to know if any of these children are still living or if some of their children happen to be living in Malmo.
My great grandfather Pehr Korsman was a brother to Elna Korsman who was the mother of Carl Julius Andersson.

Carl Julius was born 2 Oct 1889 to Elna Johansdotter Korsman and Anders Larsson in Hogeryd.
A man named Carl Julius Andersson died April 1986 in Malmo.
Is there some way to find out if this is the same person?
I wonder, did he have any children? Would there be any living children or grandchildren?
I would be very happy to find new cousins!
My great grandfather was the brother of Elna.
He came to America in 1882.

Thanks to a kind volunteer I have been given the following information.
Hanna, daughter of Anders Larsson and Elna Johansdotter Korsman was born 22 Apr 1879 in Wollsjo.
By 1900 she was married to Oleander Persson, they had a daughter Agnes who was born in 1900 and the family lived in Norra Asum.
{sorry I live in Canada and my keyboard will not put the dots above the letters}
I wonder, did they have more children? Are there any grandchildren still living?
It would be so exciting to find living cousins in Sweden!

Greta Sundgren married Carl Magnus Runvik and they had a son Carl Gustaf Rundvik born 9 Feb 1843 in Falun.
Did they have anymore children?

Now I notice what seems to be the last child in the Ljungdahl household {can't make out all names}. Looks like the birth was 1891 and maybe death? in 1892.
Please also tell me what the writing to the left of lines, 18, 19 and 21 on page 2 says.

What about the first 4 children who are crossed out?

I am looking for children or grandchildren of Marta Linnea Strom who married Westerberg {do not yet know his christian name} He died 6 Aug 1960 probably in Duved, Are.

So, it looks to me like Kristina never married or had children, because by 1900 she was age 39.
I know that Sigrid was still living in 1913.

I found August Backlund and Kristina Ljung living together in Gard in the Ostersund parish in 1890 Census. August was born in 1851 but I can't figure out where - maybe Norway.
Kristina was born in Aflo 26 Nov 1861 to Nils Ljung and Sigrid Pettersdotter.
I wish to find more info on them. Did they ever marry? Are they found in 1900 Census?

Sigrid Ljung was born 25 Feb 1864 in Aflo. Her parents were Nils Ljung and Sigrid Pettersdotter.
I found her in 1890 Census, still in Aflo, with a son Nils Irenes who was born 1885.
They are not found in 1900 Census.
I sure would like to find out where they moved to or what happened to them?

I was able to finally to figure out the Ellis Island website and I did find Anna Carlson and her daughter having arrived on the ship Thingvalla but they sure have the date wrong.

Olof was still in the home of his parents, Nils Ljung and Sigrid Pettersdotter, in 1880 Census.
But I do not find him in 1890 Census. I wonder, did he die before 1890 or did he move somewhere else?
Olof was born in Aflo, 20 Dec 1865.

You have typed B.C. is that correct? There is a province British Columbia in Canada, or there is a D.C. in USA. I hope to know which country they went to.
Since Signe went by Carlson in Emigration records I expect that's the name she used in America.
It said ticket paid in America so Erik {Eric} the husband of Anna must have already been there.

My grandfather Per Ljung was born in Aflo in 1855. I do not find Aflo on the map. Please tell me where it is close to.
He and one of his brothers came to Canada about 1903, but his brother soon returned to Sweden.
I found some of his sisters in 1890 Census and wonder if there are descendants still in Jamtland County.
Edvard and Marta Ljung Strom with son Karl Johan b, 1890 in Transgvikens Angsag - homeparish, Alsens.
Sigrid Ljung {widow} with son Nils Irenes b.1885 in Aflo - homeparish, Offerdals.
Hans Erick Rundvik,wife Brita Nilsdotter Ljung were living in Hutvulsvik with their children:
Brita Katarina b. 1876
Nils Olof b. 1881
Anna Elisabett b. 1883
Sigrid Margrette b. 1887
all children born in Rodon Parish
