I am looking for Britta Persdotter's Birth date. I know that she was born in Tilltorps ägor, Vikingstad, Östergötlands län(E) but don't birth date. Anyone help me with that? I think she was born in 1747. She was married to Olof Larsson and he was born Dec. 7th in Hättan, Kättestad, Nykil, Östergotelands Län(E).

A lot of my information came from both a cd called the Mattsson's cd and from information taken from a book called: böken, Familjer och gårdar i Ulrika .

3 names were found on that list were Maria Pettersson (there was no one going by Maja Lena or the last name Olofsdotter or Olofsson) Maja is Maria in Swedish then there was Maria C. Svensson instead of Svensdotter because Svensson was more commonly used. And Hilda Christina shown to be married to a CJO Carlsson. Speculation is that CJO was traveling with them but he was not married. This letter will be scanned and put into the objects for all to read.

I don't know if there were many Jakob Månsson's there were born in 1770 i Nikil but I was hoping to get more information about him. I know that he was married to Margaretta Eriksdotter who was born in Nykil. Most likely around that date. Not much other information to go on so I hope someone can help me.

I did not find a heading for Axfallsboda listed so I guess it is ok to post here since it is under Sund. I have Lars Jonsson born in 1638 but have no birth place. He died in Axfallsboda i June 24, 1713. He had a daughter Anna Larsdotter born here also. She was born i January, 1683 and died here i 1754. So just possibly Lars could have been born here too. Can anyone help me with this.

I found some information from a search I did on the Ships Transcribers Guild.. It would seem to be the correct Anders Andersson. Maybe it is something that you have already seen. I entered the information as Anders Andersson with his date and place of birth. That led me to another site called Passenger & Immigration Lists. Here I put in the same information for Anders and this time I included the name of the ship the Virginia. The information that came up there was: Name:Anders Andersson, Arrival Date: 6 Aug 1846 Gender: Male, Port of Arrival: New York, Port of Departure: Gothenburg, Place of Origin: Sweden, Ship Name: Virginia, Family Identification: 221657 Microfilm Serial Number: M237 Microfilm Roll Number: 63
This took me to a place called “suggested records” and there it said that these records may be pertinant to Anders Andersson and oddly the was a record for A. I need to know about Lars Death date. Because if Lars Died in 1775 and Petter was born in 76 then some thing is wrong. That's a whole year difference. Am I making any sense? Babies are usually born after 9 months. Sometimes 10 but not 12 or more.

I do not think that translation was not so good so if you forgive me I will write it in English.
Here is my problem. my farfarfar Petter Olofson was born in Tillorp, Vikingstad (E) 13 Sept 1776. The information that I have is Peters father was Lars Olofsson born 22 October 1705 in Sätertorpet, Gammalkil (E). I think this cannot be. It would mean that Petter was born a year after Lars Died. So can anyone help mde with this?

I would really like to have it very much because that is where some of my fathers ancesters were from. For instance Carl Johan Vilhelm Johannesson was from Bäck i Ulrika is just one ancester so it would be importand to obtain a copy of that bök.

I found Maria Ericsdotter on the Matsson CD. It has her father Eric Andersson, but it it says Det finns 2 st Erik Andersson 20/3 1720 i Storarp eller 30/10 1720 i Someke. So how can I determine which is the right one? Maria was born 24/11 1753 Solebo, N.Vi (E) och Eric was born in Tidersrum. Is there anyone that can HJÄLP ME !!!!! ?

Hej everyone,
I have Axel Jakob Sixten Jakobsson, Born 1909-05-03 in Sandbäck västergård, Sund (E) and he married Karin Elisabet who was born 1914-08-05 in Horn (E). My problem is that I don't know what her last name was before being married. Can anyone help me with this? They were married Married 1942-09-13 but I don't know where. I hope that this is enough information to go on.

I am looking for information about Margareta Jacobsdotter born i Ulrika on September 27, 1780. Swas married to Petter Olofsson on September 26, 1806 i Ulrika. So what I would like to know is who her parents are and any information about the parents I can get. I sure wish I could write Swedish so that I could make this as plain as I could. I am trying to learn it though.

Now I am confused becauuse it does seem that the first thing you have there shows the correct birth except I have December 12 and that show december 17. The second thing couldnt be right because I am reading April 26 (cant read the year but it looks like 1726)? That cant be right.
So I just don't know.

I want to add something to my last post: Sara Lisa Nilsdotter moved to Amundebo in Ulrika Parish after the death of her husband Johannes. She married again and had a son Nils Alfred. I would like to know who she married and when and where? Maybe that might give me a clue to her parents.

ancestors of Petter Wetterholm, b. 21 Jun 1754 in Klemmstorps, Ödeshög, Östergötland.
According to the clerical survey of Gränna (A I:17, page 465
Finntorpet) for the years 1826 - 1830 the dismissed artilleryman Peter
Wetterholm was born 1754-06-21 in Ösjö(=Ödeshög) and died 1830-05-02. He married Maria Johansdotter, b. 19 Sep 1754, in Reaby, Gränna, Jönkoping, Sweden, on 27 Dec 1781, in Huseby Ribbagård, Gränna,
Petter was born 1754-06-21 and baptized 1754-06-30 in Ödeshög as a son of Zachris Pärson living on the grounds of Mark and his wife to be Maria Nilsdotter.
On page 51 in the clerical survey of Ödeshög (A I:1, Clemetstorp) for
the years 1766 - 1772 are registered Pehr Pehrsson, wife Maria
Nilsdotter, sons Peter, Lars, Jonas and Håkan and daughters Maria, dead, Anna, Sara, Stina and Maria.

Can anyone help me with finding some information on Anders Larsson who was born 1681 i Oppeby(E). He was married to Britta Persdotter who was born 1688 and she died 1710. They were the parents of Samuel Andersson who was born March 04, 1718 or 1719 i Oppeby, Sunds sn, (E) I guess I am basically looking for any information reguarding these individuals?

Thanks much for the svar that you have given to me. And thanks for showing me the mistakaes that I have made. I knew that there was a chance that I might have something wrong. As for the spelling of Tillorp, or Tilltorp. There was a discussion on the Sweden-L mail list and I was tol that Tilltorp was used eaelier and Tillorp was the modern spelling. I will look at your translations.

Is it still possible to get Bo Lindwalls bok Familjer och gårdar i Ulrika If it dosent cost too much, I would like to buy it I think. I do not red or write Svensk so do you think I would get much out of it. My farfarfar was Carl Johan Vilhelm Johannesson was born in Ulrika and I believe he was written about in that book.

Is there anyone that can tell me how Carl Johan Wilhelm Petersson got to Amerika, Maybe he is listed on the emmigraten cd. He was born 1842 Jan 30(!) in Ulrika,
who emigrated in 1868 June 20 from Linköping city.
According to Familjer och gårdar i Ulrika, p. 201, by Bo Lindwall
Carl Johan Wilhelm was born in Bäck village in Ulrika, and moved in 1864 to Linköping.
1864 to Linköping. His father was the farm overseer (rättare) Johannes Petersson, born
1813 Nov. 27 in Vikingstad parish, died 1849 Jan. 18 in Bäck. His mother was Sara
Elisabeth Nilsdotter, born 1815 Dec.12 in Tjärstad parish, died 1871 Aug. 16 in Vikingstad
parish.

Please, if anyone can help me in my search for my great grand father Charles W Peterson (Americanized) (Possibly Karl or Carl) and perhaps last name variation in spelling migth have been something like Pettersson. He was born in Linköping on 13, January 1842 and eventually immigrated to America in 1878. His father was Johannes Pettersson ( or a variation of spelling).Johannes was marriesd to Sara L. Nelson and I would be guessing that Johannes would have been born around the 1820's and probably married in the late 1830's or early 1840's. I know this isnt much to go on since I do not know the name of the parish's. Hope someone can help me.

Need help to find Carl W Peterson,
Here is all the information that I do have on Carl.
He was born in Linköping, Sweden 1842-14-01. That information was from his marriage certificate. His parents were Johannes Peterson and Sara L. Nelson. He emmigrated to America in 1868. Although I am not certain, but I believe that he came here alone. He applied for Citizenship and changed his first name to Charles. He met and married his wife Hilda C. Swanson in Illinois in 1879-05-02.I realize that Linköping is a large place and may still be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but it is all I have to go on.
Also prior to his coming to America his name might have been Carl Johannesson, since his fathers name was Johannes Peterson.

Well here I am again, and as you requeted I have more information about Carl W. Peterson that I had not previously had.
Here is all the information that I do have on Carl.

I need help in locating information about my Great Grandfather Carl W. Peterson, born 1842-01-14 in Linköping. He emmigrated to America in 1878. His parents were Johannes Peterson and Sara L. Nelson. I have no Idea what parish he was born in. Nor do I know the exact date on which he left Sweden. In 1879 He married a Swedish girl in Galva Illinois. I don't know if he came to America alone or if he traveled with someone. While applying for citizenship he changed his name from Carl to Charles, which I understand was common practice. This is only a possibility but he may have been from Ulriceham, but I don't know that for sure. I would like to someday find his living relatives there in Sweden. If anyone can help me please send me an E-Mail.

I am surching for further information about my Great Grandmother Hilda Christina Swenson who was born 1857-03-03 and baptized on 1857-03-05 in the parish of Sund. She was the daughter of a crofter (torpare) Sven Pettersson and his wife Maria Olofsdotter in Damstugan, Lila Bräng. This information was obtained from the household examination roll of Sund (A 1: 10,63) for the years 1851-1857. I do not know the year in which she Emmigrated to America, but I do know that it was before 1878, because she was married in Illinois in February 1879.
Also I have information on her father Sven Pettersson. He was born on 1827-09-24 in Sund, and died there in 1857-06-18. In 1853 he married Maja Lena Olofsdotter. She was born 1828-01-13 in the parish of Askeryd. The couple had 2 daughters: Maria Charlotta, born 1854-04-17 in Sund: and Hilda Christina also born in Sund.
Any further information would certainly be much appreciated.
