Hello  :)

I've been struggling with trying to figure out the correct father to one of my ancestors - and I've reached the point where I need some help to figure out exactly what these two entries say to see if they hide any clues I might have overlooked.
There appears to be at least two people with the same name in the area at the time - I'm fairly sure it's not the guy several people have in their tree (the records don't add up, he's a bit too young and appears to marry later with someone else), but I'm unsure if the right person is from Hög or not - plus I can't figure out when/where he dies, so don't know if that entry would offer any help. His wife dies in 1790 but there doesn't seem to be a will.

My ancestor is Ola Jönsson who was born on the 29th of July in Hög.

His parents were wed on 31? October 1762 in Hög - but I can't read much of the entry besides their names - and was kinda hoping it might say something about where they are from or the names of any family members.

Hope someone can help me a bit further along with my investigation :) Thanks!

Swedish names / Åkerholm as an add-on name in Lund, Skåne?
« skrivet: 2023-08-10, 16:52 »
Hello  :)

I was wondering if anyone might know why a person called Pehr Åkesson would suddenly get the additional name of Åkerholm? I can't figure out if it means something, if it might be from a placename or if it's just a random addition? It doesn't seem to appear anywhere until he's in his late 20s and has been living in Lund (He was born in Stävie and then moved to Fjelie for a few years before moving to Lund). In the Husförhörslängder 1854 - 1859 his name is written as Per Åkesson but with Åkerholm added in - and it isn't used in the previous one for 1849-1854. He seems to have been working as a bricklayer in Drottens Rote 258.

Hello

I have a death - and marriage record with a few words I'm uncertain about and was hoping someone could help me with :)

Nr. 5 - the words after his name, are they a location in Stävie? Also, does it say that cause of death was hanging?! Or is that just what it looks like? ???

Nr. 2 in the marriage section - what's the two words before his name?

Also, if anyone happens to have further information on Åke and his family I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks!

Hello  :)

I'm trying to find more info on Pehr Åkesson from Stävie.

I was hoping someone could help me decipher what info this document offers. I can see he goes by the name P.Å. Åkerholm, but I can't tell what the shortened word before his name is or means? I can also tell that he's moving from Fjelie to København, but the rest unfortunately doesn't make any sense to me.

He's the last name on the list :)

Thank you!
