I have started this letter 6 times and then deleted it, trying to figure out how to make it less confusing. So I'll start with the oldest ancestor: Olof Andersson was born in 1795 in Lerdal, Rattvik, Sweden (he also died there in 1875). He married Brita Hansdotter (born 1799 in Vastgarde, died 1831, probably in Lerdal). They had 3 children, Anders, born 1828 (probably in Lerdal), died 1846; Kerstin, born 1821, died 1822; and Kerstin, born 1824 and died 1860. This Kerstin would be my gggrandmother, but I'm not certain how her last name would be recorded. According to a very hard-to-read paper, she married a man whose name looks like Forsmans Anders Yonnan. But those names could be reversed. Our Forsman family name came from this man. He was born in 1824 and died in 1873. He married Kerstin in 1845, but we do not know where, except that the family home was in Lerdal, Rattvik. They had 4 children, Brita, Anna, Jon, and Lisbeth, my ggrandmother. Lisbeth was born Jan. 12, 1858 in Lerdal, died in 1925 in Lerdal. She married Ole Nygaard (who was born Aug. 1, 1857). At the time of marriage we understand he changed his last name to Forsman, which was Lisbeth's last name, in order to work on the Forsman lands. So that leads me to believe that Forsmans Anders Yonnan is actually Anders Yonnan Forsmans. Anyway, Lisbeth and Ole had 6 children, one of which is my grandmother, Anna Forsman, born Jan. 18, 1884 in Lerdal, Rattvik, left Sweden in 1905 or 1906 for the United States. Her siblings were Olle, born about 1885, died about 1971; Anders, born 1887, died 1961; Kristina born 1893, died 1978 (in Vilhelmina); Maria born 1896, died 1993 (died in US); and Karin born about 1898, died about 1922. I realize this is a lot of information, but if anyone can help me get more information or tell me where to get information, I would be very grateful!  Thank you.
