In an attempt to translate an ancestor's bouppteckning to English, there is one word that I just can't find. I have posted on Anbytarform “Språk, ord och namn” as “1849 Bouppteckning word” and someone there suggested I repost under “Ärtemark” since that is where the bp was done. The thought is that it might be a local word and someone from this parish might have seen the word in old documents.
The word is “Bämplan” by my reading, but the samples I've found in three Ärtemark bps each look a bit different. You can see the 3 clips and follow the original thread as described above.
I hope someone knows what this object is. A link to a picture would help even more.
