It has been suggested that I post again to this site. I am looking for information on the birth of any of these children: I am looking for my great-great grandmother, Anna, born January 24, 1840 in Sweden and her parents. She emigrated from Oslo on October 21, 1881 with her children, Ida Amanda born April 19, 1865 in Ed County, Dalsland, Sofie born December 6, 1876 in Dalsland, Frans Julius born July 23, 1874 in Dals-Ed, and Emilie born 1865 in Dals-Ed. I know that Ida was born to Anna and her first husband, Magnus Olson. She was confirmed in the Swedish State Church. Frans was born without a father. Sofie lists her father's name on her marriage certificate in 1905 as John Johnson but I think it's Jan Halvardsson, born 1819 in Dals-Ed. there was one other son born to Anna and Jan, Edvard, born 1862 in Dals-Ed. He's no where to be found. All left Sweden for US except Jan and Edvard. All missing in 1890 census. If you can be of help or direct me to websites, I'd be indebted. Thank you so much.
