Thank you Ulla and Olle. I appreciate your efforts in locating information about the family of John Swansson.
My information regarding his daughter,Johanna Jansdotter, is rather limited. However, below are a number of other dates and places that may help in identifying the correct John Swansson family:
Johanna had a son Aron Jonasson, born May 2, 1838 in Trollungebyn, Dalskog parish and baptized there on May 4, 1838. Aron was born to unwed parents. The father was identified as Jonas Olsson.
Johanna Jansdotter married Karl Högman in 1846 and they were living in Billingsfors.
The first son of Karl and Johanna Högman was Jonas Alfred b. 1846 in Tisselskog.
Johanna and Karl Högman emigrated in 1880, leaving for North America with their youngest daughter Wilhelmina.
I reviewed my notes again and found another entry that lists only Dalskog as the parish where Johanna Jansdotter was born on May 6, 1816.
