Debbie, the naturalization is when he beaame a citizen, it has noting to do with the immediate immigration to US/emigration from Sweden.
You normally had to have been in the US for 1-2 yrs before you could declare your intention to become a citizen, then 3 more years had to pass.
The cd Emibas only covers ca 75 % of the emigrants before 1900 - but I must say that the alleged names of the parents - Bennet should be Bengt I guess, and Nelly sounds southern sweden to me.
