All are shown as widowed. Hildegard has a 10 year old daughter, Alice. HildegardâEUR(TM)s married name might be Walters but I find it difficult to read. Esther is 41 years old and working as a housekeeper for a private family. Her son, Carl, is now 13 years old. Living next door is Edith Surgeon and her two daughters Dorothy and Elvera. Edith works as a housekeeper and Dorothy is a typist at a paper mill.
