My mother once said that her father's last name was Bratt and it was changed when they came to the US. I asked her about that several years latter, and she said she had not said that. But maybe try Bratt.
I just used google to translate your research and I think we have found them. It is too much of a coincidence for your reasearchers to find the last name Bratt and then me remebering what my mother said. I'm excited about this find....
