I believe that Anders' birth date given here is correct. The first date, 1 August 1768 is, I think, a misunderstanding and misreading. On one occasion he is even given Britta's birth date, 31 August 1766. And when he dies in 1803 his age is said to be 34 which also gives the birth year 1769.
