Hej Jenny, I have not researched this question. However, I believe most grave sites are permanent.
For example, in Rockford, Illinois my parents are buried in the Scandanavian cemetery with perpetual care for all the graves.
In visiting old cemeteries, I have seen gravestones that are 150 years old. I am not aware of any places that reserve the plot for only 50 years like in Sweden. Maybe someone knows more about this than me. Hope this helps.
