He is the right man! In the Swedish-American newspaper Sändebudet there was an obituary when he died in 1932 saying that he was born 18 June 1860 in Värmland and died 19 Sept 1932 in Chicago. This fits well with Helene´s death index above. You can probably find the original obituary in a library which has the newspaper on microfilm, for example the Swenson Immigrant Center. It was published 6 Oct 1932.This was from an index at EmiWeb database. The obit also states that he had a wife, two daughters, two sons in law and two grandchildren as well as a sister!
