Today I learned that Mathilda's maiden name was Johnson. Further, either Mathilda or John was possibly born in Värmland. Perhaps this helps point out a search? I did also learn that there is a possibility that John was an orphan and was adopted. This would mean that there is a chance that the parents listed on his death certificate were actually Mathilda's parents, since he didn't perhaps claim any?
