I am hoping if the emmigration record if found may give birth location, and the on from there.

The passenger arrival manifests at that time period told that the person was from Sweden and was going to the U.S. That won't help you find new information.

If he settled in Chicago and naturalized there, there is little chance that the naturalization record is going to be helpful unless he naturalized after late 1906.

The 1920 U.S. Federal Census says that John Lind was naturalized in 1890 and arrived in 1881.

The 1910 U.S. Federal Census says he arrived in 1882.

There are some voter registrations on Ancestry.com which list the date and court of naturalization. You need to know where John Lind lived at the time.

Titles of the records are:

Chicago Voter Registration, 1892

Chicago Voter Registration, 1890

Chicago Voter Registration, 1888

However, it is unlikely that any naturalization records in Cook County (where Chicago is) will be helpful. Perhaps, if the person started the naturalization process in a location with better questions asked, then you will learn something useful.

The Swenson Center may be your best chance.
