Gardner Deaths 24 Feb. 1948 Nels Gustaf Widen
Gardner News Feb. 25, 1948 Nels G.A. Widen The funeral of Nels Gustaf A.Widen, 58, of 115 Conant Street who died yesterday after a short illness, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 in the Finnish Lutheran church, West Street. Rev. Milton E. Berg pastor of the First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot in Green Bower Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Bengtson Chapel will be tonight 7-9. He was born in Viristad, Smaland, Sweden son of Gustaf and Bengta (Augustson) Widen and was a long time resident of the city bring employed as a pressman by the Collier Keyworth Co. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church where he had been a deacon for many years, SVEA Lodge O. of V., Skandia Lodge, S.F. of A., the Brotherhood of Welfare and the Swedish Social Club. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Helen Jensen of Allston, MA.; two brothers, John Widen of Rockford, Illinois, and Oscar of Sweden; a sister Mrs. Anna Mayer of Rockford, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral of Nels Gustaf A. Widen, 58, of 115 Conant Street, who died Tuesday, was held this afternoon at 2 in the Finnish Lutheran Church, Rev. Milton Berg pastor of the First Lutheran Church officiated. Mrs. Jennie Anderholm was soloist and Mrs. Harry Linell was at the organ. There were many beautiful flowers and a number of friends and relatives attended the service. Bearers were Gustaf Bergstrom, Verner Uddman, Yngve Miller, Ernest Keene, Walter Yankowski, and George Carlson. Burial was in the family lot in Green Bower Cemetery in charge of the Bengtson Funeral Home.

Han dör senare : Did notice in the Social Security Deaths that a John Widen born 4 Oct. 1892 died in Rockford, Winnebago, Illinois in November of 1971.
