The birth book for Söderhamn says that the mother wishes to be anonymous, which is usually a dead end. BUT someone has later added: Mother Brita Katarina Hallgren, 23 years old, carpenter´s daughter from Kyrkbyn in Järvsö parish Father: Shop keeper G F Thorslund, Stockholm. Address: Regeringsgatan 94 A, THe Spice Shop. (I have never seen such detailed notes for an illegitimate child) The baptism witnesses include the mother´s brother. The child was born at the midwife, mrs Norén´s home.
