Hallo Dag. If you still is looking for Battrum this is what my saskatchewan contact came up with:

I tried to find Battrum on the map but couldn't find it.  I did find a little write up about it in a book called What's in a Name  written in 1968 about how many of the towns in Sask got their name.
This is what it says,  Battrum was named for William Battrum who donated the land for the townsite.  He is now retired and lives in Calgary.  Battrum has developed into an important light oil field in southwestern Saskatchewan.

I was told that the town of Battrum does not exist anymore, much like hundreds of little villages in Saskatchewan.  Farms keep getting bigger, towns get smaller and finally disappear.

That's all. Hopefully it was interesting though it probably didn't help you much...?
