Hi, Thanks for your help! I joined the Sask-list and got a couple of helpful answers in a few hours. Fantastic people, the Canadians! I managed to convert the numbers on some special sites to latitude and longitude degrees. But the places I found on the map where in Manotoba, one close to Clanwilliam in the western parts and one close to Notre Dame de Lourdes. Perhaps I went wrong somewhere. Ishbel, are you sure about Norge?
I still believe he lived in Battrum, Sask. Maybe that was later.
Ishbel, very interesting with the local histories. I would be most gateful if you could find out anything. Battrum I found at N 50.33 and W 108.20.
