Not sure if this will help but I found Charlse Nystedt's application for marriage. He married Nellie Victoria Bowman, daughter of Emma Sophia Nelly. They married on January 6, 1887 in Rockford Illinois. The application shows his father as Samuel Peter Nystedt and the mother as Maria Elizabeth, I cant make her last name since the copy is not clear.
