Thanks for the help and suggestions, I will see what I can find. You are correct on the Corporal, my mistake. I see what you mean about the name. It is spelled different from the birth record: Norra Vi C:4 (1781-1861) Image 38 / page 36 (AID: v39277.b38.s36, NAD: SE/VALA/00268). Does it make any sense that he would change it or is it more likely that the priest entering the data spelled it differently?
BTW, tailor is the English spelling of the word for someone who works on mending/making clothes. Taylor is normally used in someone's name.
