DD today says his correct name was Peter Charles Jansson.

I saw this monument in 1963 when my now late father said that when the 'prodigal son's' returned it was a big event-- a large procession of early motor cars and the son's teary eyed speeches. I think there are newspaper stories and perhaps even photographs ? As I recall it, the monument is located at a meeting of two roads, one road being the 'old highway'. In the late 1950's the new highway was allaigned a little further down the hill from the monument.
