Elyse, I have found this in the church books for Nykil Carl Johan was born May 19, 1855 in Näverdahl, Nykil (http://aforum.genealogi.se/discus/messages/44/50901.jpg)
His father was Carl Oscar Johansson, born March 15, 1819 in Nykil and he died Aug 16 1861. He hung himself. He married Sept 13, 1845 in Gammalkil to mother Catharina Nilsdotter, born Nov 1814 in Gammalkil I have not found her in the Birth book for Gammalkil yet Their children Carolina Charlotta, born Dec 11, 1846 in Gammalkil Johanna Margareta, born Dec 22, 1848 in Nykil Carl Johan, born May 13, 1851 and died Apr 13, 1852 in Nykil Anna Mathilda, born Jan 5, 1853 in Nykil Carl Johan, born May 19, 1855 in Nykil Oscar Wallentin, born March 5, 1860 in Nykil
