Thanks for that information. A little disappointing that Karin/Karna/Karen didn't show up. Were you able to look in the husförhörslangd, or just the births? I'm going to order the microfilms through the local Family History Center here and go through them just in case I can find something.
Karen's name in the Danish churchbooks and census records varies among Karna Persdatter, Karen Pedersdatter, and Karen Nielsen over time. According to the census records she was born in Sweden, and I also remember from my childhood that my great-grandfather's daughter said that his mother was from Sweden.
