Fantastic! Thank you all! This is great information but begs additional questions. My great-grandfather, Gust Otto Strom b. March 25, 1877 in Angermanland (according to his naturalization document). We had word his Swedish name was Widerstrom, though we thought it was spelled Veder. In ANNO 1890, I found only 2 Gust Otto's born in 1877 Angermanland. One of them was a Gustaf Otto Widerstrom, born in Ytterlannas. I figured this HAD TO BE HIM.
Gust Otto Strom emigrated to US in 1902. The problem I have is he came looking for his older brother who emigrated earlier. Now, if his older brother had returned to Sweden from the US in 1897, got married, and had 3 children in Nas, Ytterlannas by 1902, why wouldn't Gust know this before he emigrated in 1902?
Can someone verify that Gustaf Otto Widerstrom, Johan Wallfrid's brother, has a birthdate of March 25, 1877? He was also born in Nas, Ytterlannas.
