Thank you for the more detailed information. I am related to Brita Caisa Stenhammar and Eric Galon (b. 27SEP1777) and am also looking for the name of Eric Galon's parents.  
 
I also have a general question about valloner. My Galon relatives here in Minnesota as well as the relatives who stayed in Sweden changed the spelling of their name to Gahlon circa 1880. I'm curious if they did this to make the name appear more Swedish. Was there ever discrimination against the valloner?
