I just looked again at the photocopy of the church record of baptism of their first son. For the mother: Sofia Anderson, 17/12-63 Kocketorp, Skb. L. The fellow who sent this to me had written in his email, Kirketorp. It is K with only one letter between the K and c, looks like a closed o, like some other words on the page with o. There is no dot over it, as there is for other words with i. If Sofia said she was from Locketorp, the pastor could have understood her to say Kocketorp. I suppose, too, if she said she was born December 7, could he have understood her to say 17? Maybe the fellow was going deaf!
Now I need to find her parents' names. On her marriage record in Rockford, they were listed and Anders and Mari, but sometimes there are errors.
