SOFIA Anderson, born 17 December 1863, Kirketorp, Skaraborg, Sweden, arrived in America from Skövde, Skaraborg, in 1888, received at church 5 August 1888, Rockford, Illinois.
 
I do not know if Kirketorp (KYRKETORP) refers to a place or parish.
She was NOT from Norra Kyrketorp or Södre Kyrketorp. I have checked those.
 
I have found there are places named Kyrketorp in Vara kommun:
-SKARSTAD parish, Vara kommun - Kyrketorp,  samlad bebyggelse ca -2.8 km northeast of EMTUNGA
-BITTERNA Parish, Vara kommun - Kyrketorp, gård ca 3.6 km south-southwest of VEDUM, & Kyrketorp, gård ca 2.2 km west-southwest of VEDUM
 
I do not know for certain that her last name was Anderson in Sweden.
 
Might she be from Vara? I am looking for her parents' names, too.
