Hej! Jeg er fra England or jeg kan snakke norsk litt litt gran - men ingen svensk! Kan noen kjenne igjen denne familien:-
 
       I have some family who emigrated to the USA in the 1880s. They married into the PIERSON family. They had emigrated from SKARA, SWEDEN. Perhaps PERSSON was their Swedish name which they changed to Pierson after emigration.
 
       Do these names of four brothers/sisters mean anything to you?  
(1) ANDERS PETER PERSSON, born 24 July 1853 in Skara, Sweden. He is said to have been born in HORLUND, SKARA. Is this the name of a house or neighbourhood in Skara? He married MATHILDA ALM, (born Westergotland) in Chicago.
(2) JOHN PERSSON; probably did not emigrate to USA. Had 2 girls and boys.
(3) MARY PERSSON born 20 February 1858 in Skara; emigrated; died 6 May 1925 aged 67, in Rockford, Illinois. Her married name was LARSON.
 (4) CLARA PERSSON born 3 March 1860 probably in Skara; married AUGUST REVELL (before she emigrated) on 22 March 1880. Had 9 children, some of which were born in Sweden - ANNA in 1880; CHARLES in 1882.
 
           Perhaps the descendents of JOHN PERSSON (who remained in Sweden) still live in the Skara area and can recognise the other brothers/sisters??
 
            I would be most grateful if you could help - in English perhaps??!!
