Emigration records show an Erik Johan Eriksson leaving Mölltorps parish on August 13, 1887. His destination was Council Bluffs, Iowa. His birth date was June 26, 1847 at Hult, Undenäs. Is there any indication in the records as to his profession. Was he prepared for missionary work while in Sweden? Family oral history has him serving as a missionary in the unsettled areas of the middle western United States where he disappeared.
