Hi Judy, Sorry to say that there was no Gustaf Alexander in the birth records of Hjo Rural...BUT these were the years when people changed from patronymicons to other last names, so the fact that your Gustaf Alexander is known as Ekström and mine is born i Ekstugan is perhaps more than a coincidence. People often made a name out of the place they were born. There are no husförhörslängd for Hjo town parish for the year 1855 on Genline, so I can?t help you any further.
