Karl-Johan: I cannot thank you enough for providing this wonderful information. It gives me a bit of insight into Alida's background and hopefully, I can do a better job of finding her in her early years in America. I've been searching for about a week for Amanda as well, and wonder if she returned to Sweden as there (so far) is no trace of her.
