Dear Lena, Unfortunately, these are not my people. My Marit was the daughter of Jon Andersson and Gertrud Jansdotter. She was born 17 Jun 1836 on Vägsjöfors farm. She married Jöns Jönsson, b. 10 Mar 1834, also at Vitsand, 26 Dec 1758 in Vitsand parish. His parents were Jöns Marcusson and Kari Klemetsdotter. Their son, Jan Jönsson, b. 18 Apr 1864, Vitsand was living/working at Vägsjöfors in 1888, when his daughter, my grandmother, Selma Marie Kjellgren was born. Her mother was Karoline Kjellgren, daughter of Jonas Kjellgren and Marit Hallstensdotter of Vadje in Fryksände. Karoline and Jan were not married to one another at the time of Selma's birth. I still have many holes to plug in the part of my family, so I am concentrating on one group at a time. I seek information about Jon Andersson and his wife, Gertrud Jansdotter.
Thank you for trying to sort things out for me. I have so many Jöns Jönssons and Marit Jonsdotters in my family, I have begun referring to them with their farm names, as the Norwegians did.
