Thank you all so much for the link information to Arkivdigital. Unfortunately I had a very busy weekend and was only able to get on the site for a couple hours...and while it had a wealth of information, and the instructions were translated into English, I was unable to determine how to search for a person by name which limited my success. The language barrier can be daunting.
Carl-Johan: I was contacted by an individual over the weekend (Claes). I'm not sure if it was the person you were speaking about but they forwarded a genealogical search they had done a number of years ago for a farmer Staffan Olsson (back to 1661!) that led to Sara Matilda Gustafsdotter who married Oden. If it is someone else, I would certainly be interested to hear from them as well.
