Anna Paulina Lindström, född 1872-05-04 i Rämmens socken i Värmland.
Built by John Elder & Company, Glasgow, Scotland, 1879. 5,147 gross tons; 465 (bp) feet long; 45 feet wide. Compound engine, single screw. Service speed 16 knots. 1,210 passengers (140 first class, 70 second class, 1,000 third class).

Built for Guion Steamship Line, British flag, in 1879 and named Arizona. Liverpool-New York, San Francisco-Far East 1894-98 service. Won the transatlantic Blue Ribbon for speed in 1879. Sold to US Government, in 1898 and renamed USS Hancock. Scrapped in 1926.
You will find that only one Anna Lindstrom, age 19-20 came through Ellis Island in 1892. She is listed on the SS Arizona, arriving in New York on May 09, 1892. She is listed as age 20, single, female and of Swedish ethnicity. The ship came from Liverpool, England with an intermediate stop at Queenstown (aka Cobh today)located on the southern coast of Ireland. There were numerous Swedes, Norwegians, English, Irish as well as others on board.

One can speculate that a ship went from Gothenberg (Goeteborg), up to Oslo (aka Christiana), possibly stopped at Christiansand on the southern tip of Norway and then went directly to either Liverpool or to Hull, England where they took a train across England to Liverpool.
